The Ruger Mini-14 Ranch is a semi-automatic 5.56 rifle with an 18.5 inch blued barrel and walnut stock. It uses a Garand-style action with a fixed-piston gas system and ships with two 5-round magazines for 5+1 capacity.

A cold hammer-forged barrel and integral receiver scope mounts provide a stable platform. The sighting system includes an adjustable ghost ring rear aperture and a protected blade front sight. Scope rings are included along with the two magazines.
